The short version

The tools on this site run inside your browser. The files, captions and links you put into them are not uploaded to me or stored by me. The only personal data I receive is what you choose to send through the feedback form, plus the technical data any website host sees when you visit. I also use a privacy-friendly visitor counter that does not use cookies.

1. What stays on your device

You can delete this data at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. This site does not set cookies of its own and has no advertising scripts. Fonts are hosted on this site, so your browser does not contact Google or any other font service.

2. Data I receive

Feedback form. If you use the form, I receive your message, your email address if you choose to give one, and the page you were on. I use it to read and answer your message and to improve the tools. My legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering and improving (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), and your consent where you give an email address so I can reply. I keep messages until I have dealt with them and normally for no longer than 12 months, unless you ask me to delete them sooner.

Visitor statistics. I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see, in aggregate, how many people visit, which pages they view, where they came from (the referring site), their country and their browser or device type. It does not use cookies or local storage to recognise you or follow you across sites. Cloudflare, Inc., a company in the United States, processes the technical data needed to produce these statistics, such as the IP address of the request; see Cloudflare's privacy policy for details. My legal basis is my legitimate interest in understanding how the tools are used and improving them (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). You can object at any time by telling me through the feedback form on this site, or by using an ad blocker, which prevents the counter from loading.

Hosting. The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., which also processes the form for me. Like any web host, Netlify processes technical data such as your IP address, the time of the request and the page requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Netlify is a company in the United States; see Netlify's privacy policy for how it safeguards transfers of data.

3. Your rights

You can ask me for access to the personal data I hold about you, and to correct it, delete it, restrict its use or hand it over to you in a portable format. You can object to my use of it. To do any of these, send a message through the feedback form on this site and include an email address so I can reply. You also have the right to complain to the Czech data protection authority, the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (www.uoou.gov.cz), or to the authority in your own country.

4. About the tools

The tools are free and provided as they are. They check things against published rules and guidance, which change; they can miss things and can be wrong. The Sponsored Post Checker in particular gives general information, not legal advice. Source links are on each tool's page so you can read the original guidance.
